One
of the last phases of a remediation project that orange coast
INSPECTION
offers services is in remediation oversight. Similar to a role
that a typical construction manager plays in a standard construction
process, the Remediation Oversight Professional plays a key role
in the communication process of the project. For almost all projects,
the Oversight Professional is not located on site. Occasional
visits will be scheduled to the jobsite before, during, and after
the project as discussed upfront with the project team. Typical
site visits will include:
- Initial project review with selected remediation contractor
and client team members
- Containment Inspection - visiual and mechanical determination
of areas of potential concern in containment setup prior to
actual tear-out in order to minimize cross contamination opportunities
- Progress Visit
- Post Remediation Acceptance Testing - after the final clean-up
of the containment area has been performed, and 24 hours minimum
has elapsed, a visiual survey of the contaminated area is
performed and samples taken to confirm that the amplification
site has been removed. Occasionally, additional amplification
sites are found that would have otherwise gone undetected,
so the sampling works two-fold.
